Over the last 20 years I have been working as a counsellor on a daily basis. 75% of people who come to see a counsellor do not have a mental illness. These people are like you and me, coping with everyday life and suddenly there is extra stress happening or a situation that is difficult to deal with and before you realise it, what you found easy to do one day, you struggle with the next. This is not seen as a failure but rather an indication that you need support. |

Some clients attend for assistance with addictive behaviours, these can include smoking, drug, alcohol, gambling, sex, self harming behaviours, food abuse and detrimental patterns of behaviour (eg: involved in domestic violence)
I utilise the "Turning Point" Drug & Alcohol Resources to assist with each individuals addictive issue and work with the person in assisting them with education about their issue often linking and referring to others also experiencing the same addiction. |

When you enter hypnosis, it is a calming, relaxing state where you are in charge of your mind. The suggestions that are given are positive and reflect what the person would like to happen in their daily life. This could be to lose weight, stop smoking, reduce panic attacks or symptoms of anxiety when meeting new people, the list is endless.
To prepare you for hypnosis, you will experience a wonderful sense of peace and relaxation as I take you through different stages. You will have to undergo 3 simple tests all of which involve using your imagination and following instructions. |
